Timothy Donaldson is a lanky, long-haired big girls blouse who has taught calligraphy, conceptual art, illustration, graphic design and type design at Stafford College for more than seven years. Before that he was a free-lance graphic designer, a type designer, and a signwriter. He has also been a window cleaner and has sold junk on market stalls to make a living. He is either a genius or a charlatan, he isnt sure yet. Many people are making money out of his typefaces which are sold all over the world by people like Adobe, ITC, and Fontshop International. His typefaces: Rimbaud and Amadeo won two prizes in the Morisawa type design contest in 1996. Is it said that Hermann Zapf donated some of Timothys work to the Klingspor Museum, though Timothy admits that he has never been there himself to check. You can also see his calligraphic work in the pages of various books and journals that have been published over the years. Timothy is currently embroiled in website technology and is working with a very clever Danish photographer on a guilt-themed coffee table book comprising photos and text.
